Terhi Ravaska is a senior researcher in the areas of social security, taxation and income distribution. In her research, Terhi has studied optimal taxation, Finland’s top earners and the Finnish pension system. Currently, she is studying the 2005 pension reform, disability and part-time pension, as well as the upper echelons of Finland’s income distribution. In her studies, she uses data available in Finnish registers.
Previously, Terhi worked as a senior researcher at the Labour Institute for Economic Research. Terhi completed her doctor’s degree in economics at the University of Tampere in the summer of 2019.
