Tuomas Kosonen is a Research Professor specializing on taxation and income transfers. He is also co-directing the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research and leads the VATT's research group in it. His research centers on understanding the behavioral and distributional effects created by various tax and benefit policies. His peer-reviewed publications have focused on analyzing the effects of consumption taxation, tax evasion and family benefit policies. More broadly Dr. Kosonen studies various questions in public economics and labor economics.
