Miika Päällysaho is a senior researcher at the VATT Institute for Economic Research. His research areas are labor markets, public economics, and health economics. He obtained his PhD in Economics at Stockholm University in October 2024.

His ongoing research deals with, among other things, the importance of cognitive abilities and personality traits in the labor market, as well as the effects of social benefit levels on recipients' healthcare expenditures.
