Spillover effects between pharmaceutical markets
Date of project : 2020 - Project ongoing
Industrialised countries typically divide their pharmaceutical markets into pharmacy and hospital markets. Most of the published competitive economics research on the pharmaceutical market has focused on the pharmacy market. This project focuses on the interaction between markets and the unexpected spillover effects between them.
The project aims to answer the following questions: (i) What kinds of spillover effects related to the demand for medicines occur in the Finnish pharmaceutical market? (ii) What kinds of spillover effects related to the pricing of medicines can be observed in the Finnish pharmaceutical market?
