The questions the project aims to answer include the following: 1) How have amendments to the Act on Equality affected the pay gap between women and men? 2) Are wages sticky downwards, and are there any differences in flexibility depending on occupation-specific income levels? 3) What is the overall economic importance of asymmetric pay adjustments and do they have an impact on economic inequalities? The key data source for the project is Statistics Finland's structure of earnings data, which contains information on employees' hourly wages.
