The Trans-Atlantic Public Economics Seminar (TAPES) on Tax and Transfer Systems is organised in Helsinki, Finland. The seminar is co-sponsored by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), VATT Institute for Economic Research (VATT) and Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research (CoEFIT) with an additional support from the Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation and Palkansaajasäätiö.
Seminar organisers are Hilary W. Hoynes (University of California, Berkeley and NBER) and Tuomas Kosonen (VATT Institute for Economic Research).
The conference starts at noon on Wednesday, June 12 and extends to the afternoon on Friday, June 14. The event will take place in central Helsinki, at a historical prison converted to a boutique hotel: www.hotelkatajanokka.fi/en/. Please find additional local information on CoEFIT's website.
