VATT’s new organisation started on 1 October
The organisational structure of the VATT Institute for Economic Research changed at the beginning of October.
Previously, the organisation’s Research Unit was divided into five research themes, each led by a Research Leader. The themes have now been discontinued, and research has been administratively reorganised into three research groups, led by Research Directors Teemu Lyytikäinen, Tuomas Matikka, and Hanna Pesola. The organisational change does not affect the research done at VATT.
The Research Directors are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of research, recruitment, development and well-being of research staff, prioritisation of research resources, strategic use of external funding, and science communication.
In this organisational renewal, no changes were made to the activities of the Data Room.
