Research Director Essi Eerola appointed to the Board of the Academy of Finland
On 23 June 2021, the Finnish Government appointed a new board for the Academy of Finland for the period 1 January 2022–31 December 2024.
Research Director Essi Eerola (VATT Institute for Economic Research) was appointed to the The Board of the Academy of Finland. On 23 June 2021, the Finnish Government appointed a new board for the Academy of Finland, members to the Academy’s research councils and a new Strategic Research Council for the period 1 January 2022–31 December 2024.
Professor Johanna Myllyharju (University of Oulu) will continue as chair of the Academy Board.
The members of the Board are Research Director Essi Eerola (VATT Institute for Economic Research), Professor Klaus Elenius (University of Turku), Chief Technology Officer Atte Haapalinna (Okmetic Oy), Professor Martti Kauranen (Tampere University) and Professor Kirsi Tirri (University of Helsinki).
The Board of the Academy of Finland decides the general policies and objectives of the Academy. The Board’s task is to coordinate the work of the research councils, the Strategic Research Council and the Finnish Research Infrastructure Committee
