Antti Simola is a researcher at the VATT Institute for Economic Research. Simola’s research field includes environmental and energy issues. He has also researched regional policy issues. His current research deals with health hazards caused by pollution of watercourses and the resulting economic costs.
Antti has completed PhD degree in the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry in Helsinki. In his thesis he the effects that agricultural subsidies have on farmers’ land use decisions. He has also worked as a visiting scholar at the Centre of Policy Studies.
